GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- More than 100 floats paraded through downtown Traverse City on Saturday for the annual Cherry Royale parade.

Thousands lined the route that ran west on Front Street before traveling south on Union Street.

"This is the best. It's the biggest. It has the most floats. It's the best," said Rachel Shelton, a Buckley native that brought her two young children to the parade. "It's the heart of Traverse City. We love to be a part of the city, our community where we live, and it's a tradition."

U.S. Women's Hockey gold medalist and Farmington, Michigan native Megan Keller was the parade's Grand Marshal.

Even some members of the 7&4 News team paraded with our football-themed float.
