LEELANAU COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- On UpNorth Family Gary Gatzke, the Interim Executive Director with the Traverse Symphony Orchestra, tells us about the woodwind family.

Gatzke talks about the oboe, clarinet and bassoon. Lynn Hansen, Amy Glober and Patricia Rogers demonstrate the instruments.

The Traverse Symphony Orchestra has concerts and educational events for everyone in the family.

Education Programs:

TSO Tots at the Traverse Area District Library on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. (Free admission and includes movement with Kindermusik of Traverse City and an instrument petting zoo provided by Marshall Music of Traverse City).

Civic String Ensembles Spring Concert – Aspiring string instrument players ages 8 – 80! Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the City Opera House, free admission.
