LEELANAU COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- School is just around the corner and that means parents are starting to think of what to pack in their kids' lunches.

Lisa Maxbauer Price, a Traverse City mother and food writer, shares some easy back to school lunch ideas that are healthy and the kids will love!

This week, Lisa shows us how to make Cream Cheese Pinwheels:

Ingredients:

  • 1 package flour tortilla wraps
  • 1 package plain cream cheese
  • 1 package thinly sliced turkey
  • 1 package baby spinach
  • 1/2 cup raisins or dried cherries
  • 1/4 cup honey

Assembly:

Spread cream cheese on a flat tortilla. Add turkey and spinach leaves (as if placing pepperoni on a pizza.) Sprinkle on dried fruit and then drizzle with honey. Tightly roll the filled tortilla into a roulade or log shape. Using a serrated knife, cut the roll in 2-inch slices. Secure with toothpicks, if desired.
