LEELANAU COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Looking for a recipe to help use up all those potatoes you have at home? Well making a Potato Tart may just be it.
1 sheet puff pastry
Bag of white and purple baby potatoes
1/2 cup gruyere cheese, shredded
sprinkle sea salt
1 tsp olive oil
1.Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2.Partially boil potatoes for a few minutes in a pot to tenderize. Remove and set aside on a paper towel.
3.Flour a surface. Roll out a sheet of puff pastry and form into a square.
4.Transfer to a baking sheet with parchment paper.
5.Score the dough about 1 inch around the edge with a fork. Also pierce the center in several places to help ventilate.
6.Bake the shell for about 10 minutes.
7.Thinly slice potatoes.
8. Spread shredded cheese on baked dough shell.
9.Arrange potato slices so that they alternate in a white and purple pattern.
10.Brush with olive oil and sprinkle sea salt.
11.Bake for 15-20 min.
