GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- Northwestern Michigan College's 13th Festival of Foods took place at the Hagerty Center in Traverse City Saturday.

About 100 people attended.

They had the opportunity to try different foods and learn from local chefs.

Some of the businesses that took part in the event were "Grocer's Daughter Chocolate", "Fustini's", "Dickey's BBQ", and "The Cheese Lady".

"It's a great way to showcase both what NMC does with our culinary classes for the community and also our local food restaurants, food, businesses, with such a foodie town everyone loves to come together and celebrate that," said Kristy Jackson the Extended Education Northwestern Michigan College Program Manager.

Throughout the day there were 16 different courses.
