17-year-old arrested for break-ins

OTSEGO COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- A 17-year-old from Otsego County was arrested for a string of break-ins and thefts.

The Otsego County Sheriff's Office says Nicholas Dalzotto from Elmira Township has been charged with breaking and entering.

Deputies say in early October, Dalzotto broke into several homes and businesses, stealing items like speakers.

Investigators say he was caught after stealing an off-road vehicle from a neighbor's house.

“Our deputies responded to an ORV complaint," said Undersheriff Matt Muladore. "And then through that investigation it was learned, over the course of that next day, that this individual had essentially broken in to several places around the city of Gaylord and in the surrounding communities.”

The Sheriff's Office says all stolen property has been returned.
