Adoption options: Finding your new 'furry friend'
NORTHERN MICHIGAN (WPBN/WGTU) -- Looking for a new best friend? Well, the animals below are looking for you too! Every Friday we will feature some very special dogs and cats that might steal your heart!
Say hello to Tux!
Tux loves the spotlight and craves attention! His foster family said he will push other cats out of the way to steal the show with his loud purr!
Tux is one year old and would do best in an adult-only home but does love other cats. He has not been around dogs or children so it's not known how he will react around them.
If you think this one-of-a-kind showoff is the right fit for your family reach out to AC PAW at 231-587-0738!
Tux will keep you entertained and love you forever in return. If you would like to get started on the adoption process fill out a pre-adoption form and a volunteer will contact you.
Camo is 8-years-old and a terrier/American staffordshire mix.
Camo loves people and walks well on a leash. He is looking for a family who loves the outdoors, because he can't wait to get out and play!
It may be best for Camo to be the only dog in the house.
If you think Camo may be a fit for your family, reach out to Cherryland Humane Society in Traverse City. The phone number is: 231-946-5116
Norval is a one year old Pit Bull Terrier mix who was brought to the Charlevoix Area Humane Society as a stray.
Norval is extremely smart and staff at the shelter feel Norval would excel with training and having an owner who would be able to work with him to bring out his best qualities.
Norval loves to be around people and gets excited to go for walks!
To meet Norval reach out to the Charlevoix Area Humane Society in Boyne City. The contact number is: 231- 582-6774.
Say hello to Chuck!
Chuck is one of ten dogs brought to the Charlevoix Area Humane Society from another shelter that was overwhelmed with dogs.
Chuck is around two-years-old and a mix of Basenji and maybe Terrier.
One of the traits of the Basenji is standing back and observing people. Chuck needs to warm up to you, and when he does, he will be next to you always.
Chuck is a dog who will need to be in an active home and would do best if he had a job to do.
If you are looking for a loyal, intelligent dog, than Chuck may be a good choice.
To meet Chuck reach out to the Charlevoix Area Humane Society in Boyne City. The contact number is: 231- 582-6774.
