At least 16 arrested during meth investigation in Chippewa County

Joseph Beairl and Sean Hauxwell were arrested multiple times on meth charges.

CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- At least 16 people have been arrested in connection to meth labs in Chippewa County.

In June 2018, the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Taskforce (Tri-Dent) executed multiple search warrants and found a substantial amount of evidence of meth labs, investigators said.

Over the next several months detectives investigated and interviewed people suspected to be involved in the meth labs.

Tri-Dent officers eventually got warrants and arrested the following on meth lab charges: Joseph David Beairl, James Russell McCoy, Travis Michael Bowerman, Sara Margaret Bowerman, Jay Allen Tazelaar, Aaron Jay Endresen, Chelsie Catherine Dukes, Michael Frances Badger, Augusta Marie Vanvolkenburg, Chenoa Lynn Burr, Harley Marie Fournier, Jessica Nicole Richards, Dillon Michael Aikens, Christopher James Crusoe, Cheyenne Sky Bowen and Robert Michael Cooper.

At least three more arrests are expected and there is still an outstanding warrant for Joey Thomas Tadgerson, investigators said.

One of the suspects that was out on bond, Joseph Beairl, was arrested again earlier in the month on meth charges.

Investigators said they found multiple meth labs and suspected meth during the searches.

Beairl and another man, Sean Hauxwell were both arrested and several more arrests are expected in that investigation as well.
