'Be happy, no worries': 'Burning of the Boog' held at Alpenfest
OTSEGO, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- The 54th Alpenfest has kicked off in Gaylord!
Dozens gathered at the annual Burning of the Boog during the opening day of the festival.
People wrote down their worries on a sheet of paper and put them in the Boog.
Those who took part said it works!
"Oh yeah totally, 100%."
"Oh yeah, yeah it takes your worries away, melts them away, yeah it's been good to us," said Joe Zima, a festival goer.
After letting it burn for a few minutes, the fire department started up the hoses to bring this year's Burning of the Boog to an end.
