BENZIE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A Beulah mother is facing three felony charges in the death of her son.
In January, four-year-old Reece Watkins was in the backseat of a vehicle that crossed the center line, rolled and hit several trees.
Deputies say Reece was not properly restrained in the backseat. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It happened on M-115 about one mile north of Lindy Road.
Isabella Rose Bronson, 22, was behind the wheel. She had minor injuries.
At the time, authorities suspected that drugs may have been a factor in the crash.
On Friday, the Benzie County prosecutor issued three felony charges against Bronson: operating while intoxicated causing death, 2nd-degree child abuse and using methamphetamine.
Bronson is in the Benzie County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
