Body of missing swimmer in Round Lake recovered

MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Search crews have found the body of a man who went missing in a Mecosta County lake.

The body of Richard Jones, 68, of Belding, was found in Round Lake around 11:49 a.m. Monday.

Investigators said Jones had been boating with his family when he jumped into the water Saturday.

According to investigators, Jones showed no signs of external injury and is believed to have succumbed to an unknown event causing him to drown.
