Bus driver suspended after crash in Mecosta County

A bus driver in northern Michigan was suspended after a crash with a car.

MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A northern Michigan bus driver was suspended after a crash.

Friday morning a school bus with students on board in Mecosta County crashed into a car.

The crash happened at the intersection of M-66 and Arthur Road near the Chippewa Hills High School and Intermediate School.

Mecosta County Sheriff's Deputies said the bus driver turned in front of the driver of the car, who had the right of way.

A child in the car was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

None of the children on the bus were hurt.

The driver of the bus has been suspended pending the investigation.
