Cadillac Mortgage makes major donation to local schools
For the third year, Cadillac Mortgage has made a major donation to Cadillac Area Public Schools as a sponsor for the annual adult spelling bee.
They presented a $10 thousand check to CAPS Monday.
The money will go to Little Vikings Early Childhood Programs, which provide educational and emotional learning opportunities for kids ages three to five.
"The community is what means the most to me and I just want to help the schools," said Candice Vickery, who owns Cadillac Mortgage. "I thought that was the best place to start."
"To have that type of donation allows us to have a large impact on all kids," said CAPS Superintendent Jennifer Brown. "So her kindness is allowing us to provide those types of activities for all kids in our three- five year old program."
Twenty teams are registered to compete in this year's event.
It takes place Saturday, January 20th at 6 p.m. at the Cherry Grove Event Center.
Admission is free and a buffet is available for $10.
You must be at least 21-year-old to attend.
