Cadillac Rotary Club donation benefits middle school orchestra students
CADILLAC, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- A donation from the Rotary Club of Cadillac is helping middle school students in orchestra at Cadillac Area Public Schools.
The music stands that the orchestra had were old and falling apart, so the rotary made a donation of $2,500 so they could buy all new ones.
They were able to purchase a total of 41 stands, that will be used by more than 100 Cadillac middle school orchestra students.
The director says while it may seem like a minor detail, it makes a big impact for rehearsals.
“It's been a problem ever since I got here and all the kids are really excited about it,” said Bryce Robb, CAPS orchestra director.
“Yeah like they were super wobbly and stuff would always fall off and we would be short sometimes, so some kids wouldn't have stands and then there would be like three to a stand and it was terrible,” said eighth grader, Jackie Sallady.
