Cadillac stabbing suspect charged with attempted murder

WEXFORD COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- The suspect in a stabbing over the weekend has been formally charged.

Miranda Turpin, 26, is accused of stabbing a 29-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman multiple times at the Economy Inn in Cadillac on Saturday.

As of Sunday, both victims were in stable condition.

Turpin was arrested about 15 minutes away from the scene at a home in Cherry Grove Township.

Turpin is now charged with two counts of attempted murder.

According to the Wexford County Prosecutor, Turpin is a mother and is pregnant.

If convicted, Turpin faces up to life in prison.
