Pumpkin farm remains open despite fire

BEAVERTON, Mich - The owners of the WIld Pumpkin cider mill in Beaverton report the pumpkin barn was destroyed by a fire Friday night.

The house and other buildings on the property were not damaged.

On it's Facebook page the owners wrote, "A HUGE thank you to the people who pulled us out of bed and called 911 and another HUGE thank you to all the first responders. All of you were incredible and saved our house and the other buildings. We are very lucky to live in such a caring community."

No animals were hurt.

The Wild Pumpkin will remain open and will be making donuts and selling pumpkins.
