Cold day...very cold night

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for Luce County until 7 PM. Heavy lake effect near Lake Superior will cause travel troubles between Munising and Newberry. Elsewhere around northern Michigan there will be scattered light snow showers. Wherever you are...look out for this new coating of snow on the roads...even though the totals are less than 2 inches. The wind will gust over 25 mph near the Great Lakes...and gust over 20 mph anywhere around the region...mainly from the northwest. High temperatures will be in the 25 to 32 degree range.

Tonight....scattered light snow. Wind gusts to 20 mph from the north. Low temperatures will be 6 to 22 degrees. So, any wind will drive the wind chill temperatures to near zero overnight.

Friday...mostly cloudy...scattered snow showers. Highs 20-25 degrees...one of the coldest days so far this fall. Wind 5-15 mph.

Saturday and Sunday...mostly sunny. In the Upper Peninsula on Saturday you could run into a passing light snow shower. Highs Saturday...25 to 32 degrees around northern Michigan. On Sunday...highs will be 28 to 35 degrees..
