Community rallies around 14-year-old burn victim

Manton community members gathered for a benefit for Brian Adams.

WEXFORD COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Hundreds of people came together in Wexford County to support a 14-year-old boy who was severely burned in a motel fire.

Brian Adams suffered burns to 90 percent of his body and requires constant care.

People gathered at Manton Consolidated Schools Saturday night for a spaghetti dinner to help Brian.

The dinner included live and silent auctions and raffles.

All proceeds from the benefit went directly to Brian and his family.

Brian's dad, Rob Adams said they're overwhelmed with the support they've gotten from the community.

"It's amazing I mean look at it everyone's here to support my son, all of the businesses, everyone coming together is just breathtaking," Rob said.

If you missed the benefit but would like to support Brian there is also a GoFundMe to raise money.
