Couple arrested, charged after multiple drugs are found in home
OCEANA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A northern Michigan couple is charged after detectives say they found multiple drugs inside their Oceana County home.
The State Sheriffs Chiefs Enforcement Narcotics Team executed a warrant in the 5900 block of Deer Road in Golden Township on Friday, February 2.
Detectives say they seized suspected methcathinone, which is a schedule one controlled substance, along with prescription medication and marijuana from the home.
SSCENT says this is the same home detectives search in the Spring of 2016 when several controlled substances and a firearm were seized.
Austin Valentine, 29, and Jessica Valentine, 30, both from Mears were arraigned Monday.
Both suspects are charged with possession with intent to deliver a schedule one controlled substance more than 50 grams but less than 450 grams.
A habitual offender notice has also been placed on Austin's warrant, which makes the charge a 40-year felony.
Bond is set at $5,000 or 10% for both Austin and Jessica.
