Crash causes Interlochen power outage
GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Update: As of around 4 p.m. more 5,300 customers are without power.
A crash in Grand Traverse County has left many in a community without power.
According to Grand Traverse 911, the crash happened on East Duck Lake Road between Fall and Pinetree roads in Interlochen.
As of 2:10 p.m. 618 customers are without power in the Interlochen area, including the traffic light at Interlochen Corners.
Grand Traverse 911 expects that portion of East Duck Lake to be closed for the next eight hours.
Cherryland Electric Cooperative is working to restore power.
