MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A man is dead after investigators said he may have suffered a medical issue while swimming in a Mecosta County lake.
Mecosta County deputies were called to a drowning on Chippewa Lake around 4:30 p.m. Monday.
According to investigators, Kenneth Allen Roebuck, 66, of Mecosta, was near the swimming area on the southern portion of the lake when a potential medical issue caused him to go under in about four feet of water.
Investigators said nearby swimmers saw Roebuck having difficulties and retrieved him from the water.
When emergency crews responded, CPR was performed but Roebuck died from his injuries.
