Deputies search for gas station break-in suspect

The Lake County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect in a Baldwin gas station break-in.

LAKE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- The Lake County Sheriff is looking for a suspect in an early morning break-in.

Just after midnight Wednesday, someone broke into the Big Star E-Z Mart gas station in Baldwin.

Deputies said the person used a slender object, possibly a tire iron to break the glass on the front door.

A carton of cigarettes was stolen.

The suspect is about six foot tall and wore a black hoodie with a light shirt underneath, blue jeans and black boots.

According to deputies, the person's face was covered with a mask and hands were covered with what looked like white socks.

The suspect fled in a dark-colored late 90s or early 2000s Ford F150 pickup truck with a toolbox in the bed.
