UPDATE: Manistee County run-away teen found

Cheyann Paynter was last seen Tuesday afternoon near Brethern.

MANISTEE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- UPDATE: According to the Manistee County sheriff, the missing teen who ran away from home has been located.

Cheyann Paynter was located on Dilling Road in Dickson Township.

Paynter is safe and has been reunited with her family.


MANISTEE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Manistee County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for a 15-year-old girl they said ran away from home.

Cheyann Paynter was last seen around 4 p.m. Tuesday near Brethren riding a 10-speed grey bike with white lettering, possibly a Huffy.

She was wearing blue jean shorts and a white and black tank top, according to deputies.

She has brown hair tinted purple, brown eyes, is 5-foot-five inches tall and 175-pounds.

Deputies said she left a note and is considered voluntarily missing.

She could be heading to California, according to deputies.
