Deputies searching for suspected motorcycle thief

Deputies are searching a person they said stole a motorcycle from White Cloud home.

NEWYAGO COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Newaygo County Sheriff's Deputies are asking for help finding a suspected motorcycle thief.

According to deputies, a motorcycle was stolen from a home near the intersection of Spruce Street and Washington Road just east of White Cloud around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 9.

A few minutes after the motorcycle was stolen deputies say they tried to stop the person driving the bike and were led on a short case.

The thief laid the bike down and got away, according to deputies.

The Newyago County Sheriff's office is looking for the vehicle used to steal the motorcycle which they believe is a dark colored, possibly red, four-door sedan with tinted windows.

The car is likely a 1997-2005 Buick Century or Regal.
