Drug bust leads to chase, arrest of two Indiana men

The suspect was found hiding under someone's deck.

Two men from Indiana are facing multiple felony charges after trying to sell drugs and running from law enforcement.

The Traverse Narcotics Team said they got a tip about two men from South Bend trying to sell a substantial amount of heroin and cocaine in Traverse City and Honor.

TNT set up surveillance in Honor Friday afternoon.

The suspects were found at an Honor convenience store. When agents approached the suspects, they drove off, hitting a TNT vehicle and disregarding Benzie County Sheriff and Michigan State Police patrol cars.

Authorities chased the suspects from Honor to Long Lake Township, until the driver lost control on slippery roads and drove into a ditch.

The 36-year-old passenger was taken into custody. The 25-year-old driver took off on foot into a neighborhood.

Deputies set up a perimeter around the neighborhood and tracked the man with a K-9 unit.

The suspect was found hiding under someone's deck.

Both suspects are facing multiple felony charges including attempted delivery of heroin/cocaine, fleeing and eluding police, resisting and obstructing police and felonious assault.
