FLOOD WATCH for northern Michigan today because of standing water on some roads....and because of rising stream and river levels.
Today we'll see the temperatures slowly fall. Highs will be 32 to 42 degrees, but those highs will happen during the morning. As temperatures fall...rain showers change to snow showers. By early evening the temperatures will be in the 20s...and we'll be getting mostly snow showers. All the way into the early evening...we're still seeing some freezing rain mixed with snow. Amounts of precipitation...snow or rain or ice...will be light, but travel could be slower because of this combination. Wind could be an issue for you, too. Gusts to 25 mph are going to be common...from the northwest. Patchy fog is possible...but expect lots of clouds today.
Tonight...light snow showers. Wind is still gusting to 25 mph from the northwest. Lows are going to be between 16 and 28 degrees around northern Michigan.
Saturday...a little sunshine...but lots of clouds. Those clouds will produce some scattered light snow showers. Highs from 20 degrees to 34 degrees. Wind from the northwest...mostly 10-20 mph...but gusting to 25 mph at times.
Sunday will be mostly cloudy...and a little warmer than Saturday. Highs 30-40 degrees. Light wind...5-15 mph from the west. Any rain or snow will be widely scattered and light...so most of us do not see a drop or a flake..
