Festival of Trees underway in Kalkaska
KALKASKA COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- The Festival of Trees in underway in Kalkaska County.
Right now, dozens of themed Christmas trees are at the Northland Plaza.
It's all to raise money for the Kalkaska Area Interfaith Resources.
People and organizations donate the decorated trees, wreaths and other items.
Folks can then buy tickets, choose their favorites and put their tickets in that corresponding box, and the trees are raffled off.
Volunteers say it's fun to see everyone's reactions as they come through.
“Just meeting people and seeing what they're interested in and the little ones you know in awe looking at the trees,” said volunteer Marlene Weir. “It's fun.”
The Festival of Trees started Saturday and runs through this Sunday at the Northland Plaza in Kalkaska.
You can get six tickets for 10 dollars.
