On Monday evening, local churches gathered at the United Methodist Church in East Jordan for a prayer vigil, to pray for those affected by Sunday afternoon's incident.
"We decided to come together as ecumenical group, all the churches in East Jordan and have a prayer vigil where we just gather together as brothers and sisters in Christ and pray," said Craig Pahl, a pastor at United Methodist Church.
Pahl says he and others want those affected to know that the community is behind them.
"There's people in our community that need our prayers, that need to be lifted up and know that they're not alone in this and we're gonna be here to support them and help them through whatever comes their way, said Lisa Clavier who attended Monday night's vigil.
