    Former middle school principal appears in court, arraigned on sex crime charges.

    GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Former Kingsley Middle School Principal Karl Hartman was in court Wednesday for the first time.

    Hartman is facing charges in Grand Traverse County for sex crimes against young boys.

    He was charged with two counts of degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of accosting a minor and two counts of furnishing alcohol to minors.

    Hartman appeared by video arraignment Wednesday morning.

    He was given several conditions for his release on bond including not being allowed on school property, no contact with alleged victims or their families and he must wear a GPS tether.

    He was released on $75,000 bond Wednesday afternoon.
