Grand Traverse County introducing new voting machines
GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- Voters in Grand Traverse County will be using new voting machines during the 2018 elections.
One of the machines will allow voters to cast their ballots using a touch screen.
According to county officials, the machine where voters insert their ballots, also tells them whether or not the vote counted.
People who want to try using the new machines before the election will have an opportunity to do that.
The Traverse City Clerk's office will hold an open house on Thursday June 28th.
People will be able to practice using the machines in the Second Floor Training Room of the Governmental Center at 400 Boardman Avenue.
The open house will last from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Anyone can attend the open house even if they aren't registered to vote or don't live in Traverse City.
