GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- The man accused of sexually assaulting a teenager in a public restroom is in custody.

Grand Traverse County deputies say 25-year-old Daniel Malm-Kukulski inappropriately touched a 16-year-old girl in the bathroom of the Books-A-Million bookstore in Garfield Township on November 7.

The victim did not require medical attention.

In February, 2016 Malm-Kukulski plead guilty to one charge of aggravated indecent exposure and was sentenced to six months in jail and 30 months probation. He is currently being held in jail on a probation violation.

Detectives have submitted a report to the Grand Traverse County Prosecutor’s Office requesting Criminal Sexual Conduct charges against Malm-Kukulski in the Books-A-Million sex assault investigation.
