Man charged after allegedly attacking deputies during arrest
MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- The man, who deputies said attacked them while being arrested, has been arraigned.
Juan Maldondo, 25, was arrested early Sunday morning after Mecosta County sheriff's deputies were called to a domestic complaint in the Village of Morley.
Investigators say Maldondo began to fight the deputies when they tried to arrest Maldondo after he failed to follow their commands.
Records show a deputy used a taser on Maldondo but Maldondo tried to disarm the deputy.
A knife was found in Maldondo's pocket during the arrest, said deputies.
Maldondo is being held in the Mecosta County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
