Three years after drug deal, man charged in overdose death

Wade Druckenmiller was charged with overdose causing death.

ANTRIM COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A three-year investigation into an Antrim County overdose death led to charges against a northern Michigan man.

Wade Druckenmiller was arrested on January 3, 2018, and charged with overdose causing death.

According to the Antrim County Sheriff's Office, in January 2015 Druckenmiller sold drugs to the victim, Damien Smith,

Smith died from a drug overdose at a home on Rushton Road in Central Lake Township.

Deputies said the autopsy found large amounts of heroin and fentanyl in his system.
