Man charged in apparent Benzie County drug overdose

BENZIE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A man arrested in an overdose investigation in Benzie County has been charged.

The Traverse Narcotics Team and the Benzie County Sheriff's Office received a call regarding a 22-year-old male unresponsive from an apparent overdose of suspected heroin on Monday.

The man was transported to Munson Medical Center and is in the Intensive Care Unit.

During the investigation, a search warrant was executed by TNT detectives and Benzie County sheriff's deputies at a home on Forrester Road in Frankfort.

Investigators found suspected heroin, needles, drug paraphernalia and firearms during the search.

The investigation is ongoing and investigators expect more arrests to be made.
