Man fights for life in hospital after being thrown from motorcycle
WEXFORD COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A northern Michigan man is fighting for his life after a motorcycle crash over the weekend.
Cadillac Police were called to North Mitchell Street just north of River Street around 6:39 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators said the motorcycle, driven by a 65-year-old Fife Lake man, was on North Mitchell Street when he lost control.
Sergeant Jeff Izzard said the driver was thrown from the motorcycle.
According to Izzard, the driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and suffered life threatening head injuries.
The driver was taken to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
