Married couple arrested on meth charges
MONTMORENCY COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A husband and a wife were arrested in Montmorency County for making meth.
Tuesday night, investigators say they raided the couple's home and found an active meth lab.
Huron Undercover Narcotics Team detectives arrested the husband and wife, 59 and 60 years old, at their home on South Airport Road in Briley Township.
The couple was arrested on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine and operating a methamphetamine lab.
Both charges are felonies that are punishable by up to 20 years in prison and/or a $25,000 fine.
The two are lodged in the Montmorency County Jail awaiting arraignment.
Additional charges are under review by the county prosecutor's office.
The Michigan State Police Meth Response Team was called to the scene to clean up the hazardous materials.
