MSP Cadillac holds annual "Stuff A Blue Goose" event

Troopers at the Michigan State Police Cadillac Post held their annual "Stuff A Blue Goose" event at the Walmart in Cadillac Saturday.

WEXFORD COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Michigan State Police troopers from the Cadillac Post collected unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items during their annual "Stuff A Blue Goose" event.

The toys and food items collected will go to Oasis Family Resource Center in Cadillac.

Troopers at the event said they were happy to be part of a something that involves giving back to the community.

"It's important for us to give back to the community to give people a positive look on what we do. A lot of times we're not exactly the bearer of good news," said Trooper Tyler Baker. "We usually have bad news whether it's on an accident or anything like that. So it's good to be out here with a positive face towards the community."

On Saturday, December 15, MSP will have another "Stuff A Blue Goose" event at Victorian Car City Port in Manistee from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
