Multiple vehicle crash shuts down M-72
GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- A portion of East M-72 in Grand Traverse County is shut down at this time due to a multiple vehicle crash.
M-72 between Lautner Road and Arnold Road will be closed until further notice.
The crash happened around 2:45 p.m Friday at M-72 and Bates Road.
Four vehicles are involved in the crash.
A Grand Traverse County deputy at the scene said there were reports of a driver acting reckless and traveling at a high rate of speed in Williamsburg before the crash.
According to deputies at the scene one person was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
The other injuries are not life threatening.
Investigators say they could be on scene much of the night.
Law enforcement is asking drivers to find an alternate route and to not go around any barricades.
