N. Michigan residents dig themselves out of snow

An estimated6-10 inches of snow fell in Traverse City on Saturday and more is destined to fall throughout the weekend.

GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- People around Northern Michigan found themselves knee-deep in snow on Saturday. The snow was an expected, but not very welcome sight to residents who spent the morning wiping the snow off their vehicles and shoveling their driveways and sidewalks. "It's such a bummer that it's happening again," said Erin Dixon of Traverse City. "I think everybody up here is just so ready for Spring to start getting their yard work done and to get outside. It's always a downer when you look outside in the morning and you see more of this white stuff."The snowfall seen already this April surpasses the total that fell in the month of February. Folks will likely have to return to their driveways again throughout the weekend to shovel the additional snow-sleet mix expected to fall.
