Name of victim released in crash with Kalkaska County Road Commission truck
KALKASKA COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- Michigan State Police are releasing the name of the man killed in a car crash this week in Kalkaska County.
Zachary Szabo, 21, was killed Tuesday when police say he crashed into the back of a Kalkaska County Road Commission truck.
The crash happened just before 1 p.m. October 17 when the truck was stopped waiting to make a left turn off of M-72.
M-72 was shut down for more than four hours following the crash. Officials are still not sure what caused Szabo to crash into the back of the truck.
A good friend of Szabo is raising money through a GoFundMe campaign to help the family with funeral costs.
