GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A new performance experience is coming to Traverse City.
The Traverse City Opera debuts this Friday with "Found in Translation.β
Some singers will be local, and others are coming from around the country.
It's an event founders have been putting together for more than two years.
"For our first concert, I think what we want to highlight is the accessibility of opera. It is now in your neighborhood and you can come and see it. We want to highlight the relevancy of opera,β Traverse City Opera Artistic Director and Co-Founder said. βIt's telling human stories. We want to highlight the fun and drama of opera and its certainly dramatic. We want you to leave knowing what it was about and enjoying your experience."
Tickets for the performance are already sold out, but more events are lined up for the summer.
More information will be released in May.
