No body found at suspect's house in 43-year-old cold case
CHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- Police from Wisconsin are finished searching a Cheboygan County home where they believed they would find the remains of a victim from a 43-year-old cold case.
The Sturgeon Bay Police Department said they did not find a body after a house was torn down, but they said the may have found some items that could have value as evidence.
The items were sent to a crime lab in Wisconsin.
Police expect the suspect, 82-year-old Richard Pierce, to be extradited to Wisconsin on Friday.
Investigators believe Pierce killed his wife in 1975.
