Officers save man from overdose with Naloxone at rest stop

Officers recognized the possible cause of the unresponsiveness from the man at the rest stop and administered Naloxone.

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A man is saved from a possible overdose thanks to the quick thinking of first responders.

According to the Grayling Department of Public Safety, EMS found a 39-year-old man unresponsive at a rest stop along I-75.

Officers recognized the possible cause and administered the overdose reversal drug, Naloxone.

Officers said the man regained consciousness after he was given the medication.

The department is being provided with Naloxone kits from Up North Prevention, who received a grant for the kits in Fall of 2015.
