Probation check turns into meth lab discovery in Gladwin County

GLADWIN COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- One man was arrested after drug detectives said they found a meth lab inside his home.

Investigators said on the morning of Thursday, April 12, deputies from the Gladwin County Sheriff's Office assisted a Michigan Department of Corrections agent with a probation check at the home of David Prenger, 30, in Sage Township.

During the check, evidence in regards to the manufacturing of methamphetamine was found inside Prenger's home.

Investigators said a one pot meth lab and lab components were recovered at the home after a search warrant was issued.

Records show Prenger is facing several drug charges including operating a meth lab in the presence of a minor child.

The investigation is still ongoing and investigators said additional charges may follow.
