Public invited to join ghost hunt on S.S. City of Milwaukee
MANISTEE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- As part of National Ghost Hunting Day, and the 3rd Annual World’s Largest Ghost Hunt, the Michigan Area Paranormal Investigation Team (MAPIT) is hosting a ghost hunt, and the public is invited to join.
People from across the world, including more than 150 paranormal teams are participating and will be live streaming their hunts at the same time, hoping to set a world record.
Tickets are on sale right now for the nearly five hour long event.
The MAPIT will have their equipment there for you to use, or you can bring your own.
The event includes a tour of the ship, food and beverages, presentation and of course the ghost hunt.

If you can’t make it they will be live streaming the event on the Michigan Area Paranormal Investigation Team Facebook page.
All money from the event goes to the S.S. City of Milwaukee to help preserve and maintain the national historic landmark.
All proceeds from each location across the world will go to the historic facility they are holding the ghost hunt.
“It’s pretty cool to be able to bring people in from all across the state or out of state if they want, and it’s such a unique event,” said Linda Spencer, the Executive Director S.S. City of Milwaukee. “Its cool that we can do it here on our very unique ship and it’s a great time for us with our Ghost Ship event, so it’s a lot of fun and it’s a great fundraiser for us.”
