Rain on the way

More and more clouds roll into the state thru the day. We'll see some sun thru the clouds, but the best description of the sky for the day will be partly sunny. Wind 5-15 mph. Highs 75 to 85 degrees around northern Michigan. The chance for rain rises in the late afternoon...so some spotty rain possible before sunset.

Overnight the large body of rain we've been watching...and the thunderstorms...will move from southwest to northeast. So, in the early evening there will be thunderstorms around Ludington...but you may not see rain until well after midnight around Alpena. Wind will be 10-20 mph as the rain moves in...but some gusts could be higher near thunderstorms.

Tuesday we'll see widespread showers in the morning...and scattered rain in the afternoon. Hopefully, everyone gets wet. Highs 65 to 75 degrees...down a little with all the clouds and showers. Wind will increase and gust over 25 mph.

Tuesday night there will be scattered rain around...and it will be breezy. Gusts over 20 mph are expected. Lows in the 50s.

Wednesday...just a few spots of rain left behind. Much of the day will be sunny. Wind 10-20 mph. Highs 70 to 78 degrees..
