School bus crash investigation in Elk Rapids
ANTRIM COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- The Elk Rapids Police Department is investigating after a school bus taking students home for the day was involved in a crash with a car.
It happened around 11:25 a.m. Friday
Elk Rapids students had a half-day and according to Elk Rapids School Board President Carol Pressman, middle and high school students were on the bus.
No one was hurt in the crash which is still under investigation.
The Elk Rapids Police Chief said the bus was making a left turn from Ames Street onto Mitchell and the car was on Mitchell heading toward Ames Street when the two crashed.
No tickets have been issued.
The Elk Rapids School Transportation Director will be following up on the investigation as well, according to Pressman.
