Woman sentenced in staged armed robbery

EMMET COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- The woman who pleaded guilty to staging an armed robbery was sentenced Friday in Emmet County.

Christine Adams was sentenced to one year in jail and has to pay $3,926.02 in restitution, according to the Emmet County Prosecutor James Linderman.

Adams pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit embezzlement $1,000 to $20,000, embezzlement $1,000 to $20,000 and false report of a felony.

Adams was a secretary at West Brook Recovery Center in Petoskey when an armed man came into the center and robbed the place.

Police said she admitted to being in on the theft and handing over more than $1,000 in cash to her accomplice Don Eisenhardt.

Eisenhardt pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit embezzlement over $1,000 as a fourth habitual offender on July 24.

His sentencing is set for August 21.
