Street near Cherry Capital Airport dedicated to Chuck Judson
TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- There is a new street near Cherry Capital Airport and Tuesday it was dedicated to the man who helped make its recent developments possible.
The Northwestern Regional Airport Commission named the street near Costco Judson Street.
It's in honor of Chuck Judson, longtime legal counsel for the airport who helped secure the Costco development and extension of the airport runway.
Chuck passed away from cancer last year, but family members say this street is a great way to honor him.
“Just to have this recognition, it is really special because he was able to receive this recognition while he was still with us,” said his daughter, Bailey Judson. “So to be able to celebrate it and finally have the street and the street sign is very special for us.”
Chuck's family says he was a very humble person, but was proud to get the street named after him.
