Teens identified in fatal Kalkaska County crash

KALKASKA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- The teens involved in a deadly crash in Kalkaska County have been identified.

Seth Chopp and Tori Wieling, both 16, were driving on Country Road 571 between M-72 and Country Road 612 when their car crossed the center line before hitting a garbage truck head-on.

Chopp, who was driving the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Kalkaska County Sheriff's Office, Wieling is at Munson Medical Center and is listed in serious condition.

Chopp was a student at Kalkaska High School and Wieling was a former student of Kalkaska High School.

Grief counselors will be available in the school's library for any students who may need help.
